Royal Caribbean International has confirmed a small itinerary adjustment for an upcoming cruise aboard Symphony of the Seas, scheduled to depart from PortMiami on February 15, 2026.
The change comes as part of the cruise line’s routine planning process and is linked to updated safe speed requirements during the voyage.
Guests booked on the sailing were notified directly by the cruise line, which explained that the adjustment is being made to ensure smooth operations and compliance with maritime safety guidelines.
While the overall route of the cruise remains unchanged, one port visit will now look slightly different for passengers.
Earlier Departure Time in Nassau
The key update affects the ship’s call in Nassau, Bahamas. Instead of departing the port at 6:00 p.m., Symphony of the Seas will now leave Nassau earlier, at 4:30 p.m.
Royal Caribbean stressed that this is a timing adjustment only and does not impact the rest of the cruise itinerary.
Guests will still enjoy the same destinations, including visits to St. Maarten and St. Thomas, along with several relaxing days at sea.
The cruise line apologized for any inconvenience and emphasized that safety and operational efficiency are always top priorities when making itinerary decisions.
Passengers were encouraged to plan accordingly for their day in Nassau, keeping the updated departure time in mind.
Shore Excursions and Guest Support
To help minimize disruption, Royal Caribbean confirmed that its shore excursion team will automatically review and adjust any prepaid excursions booked through the cruise line.
If an excursion can be rescheduled to fit the new timing, it will be updated without guests needing to take action.
In cases where an excursion can’t be accommodated, it will be cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment within 14 business days. Guests can continue to browse and book excursions through the My Royal Cruise website or mobile app.
Symphony of the Seas is currently sailing weeklong Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries from PortMiami for the winter season.
In early May, the ship is scheduled to reposition to Galveston, Texas, where it will begin year-round sailings to Mexico and the Western Caribbean.
Weather-related itinerary changes are not uncommon, and Royal Caribbean recently faced a similar situation when high winds forced the cancellation of a Perfect Day at CocoCay visit for two of its ships earlier this month.
Overall, Royal Caribbean says the change is minor and aims to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests onboard.
