Aman at Sea’s New Yacht Amangati to Feature Dual Helipads

Bryan Conrad

Aman is taking its signature sense of calm and privacy to the open sea, and it’s doing so in a big way. When Amangati launches in the Mediterranean in 2027, the ultra-luxury yacht will feature two helipads, a detail that perfectly captures how the brand is rethinking travel at sea.

This isn’t about flash it’s about making every arrival and departure feel effortless. For guests, the helipads mean skipping crowded terminals and long transfers.

Helicopter arrivals can be arranged on request, allowing travelers to move smoothly between airports, coastal cities, or even remote shorelines that are usually out of reach.

Aman describes these transitions as fluid and unhurried, which fits neatly with the brand’s long-standing promise of quiet, unrushed luxury.

The yacht also marks Aman’s long-anticipated entry into ocean travel, extending the brand’s signature philosophy of privacy, design, and slow luxury from land to sea.

While it hasn’t been confirmed whether the yacht will operate its own helicopters, the infrastructure alone shows just how seriously Aman is taking the guest experience.

True to form, Aman at Sea is also breaking away from the typical cruise model when it comes to shore experiences. Excursions won’t be bundled into the base fare. Instead, guests will be invited to choose from a thoughtfully curated collection of experiences designed to uncover the character of each destination.

These experiences focus on culture, nature, and local stories rather than box-ticking sightseeing. For those looking for something even more personal, private, tailor-made excursions can be arranged.

Currently being built at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Italy, Amangati will carry just 94 guests, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a private retreat than a cruise ship.

When she enters service in spring 2027, the yacht will offer five- to eight-night itineraries through some of the Mediterranean’s most coveted regions, including Spain, the French Riviera, and the Dalmatian Coast.

The experience onboard is designed to feel seamless and indulgent without being overdone. The base fare includes Starlink Wi-Fi, non-alcoholic beverages, daily laundry and pressing, unpacking and packing assistance, personalized in-cabin drinks, and twice-daily housekeeping.

Guests can truly settle in and relax without worrying about the small details. For those seeking total exclusivity, Amangati will also be available for private charters, offering a rare setting for intimate celebrations or private events at sea.

With spaces designed for both connection and quiet reflection, Aman’s first major step into yachting feels less like a cruise and more like a floating sanctuary.

Construction of the Amangati is already underway, marking a major step forward as Aman at Sea prepares to bring its signature luxury experience onto the water.
