American Cruise Lines is preparing to mark a major national milestone in a very visible way. In 2026, as the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, the cruise line will roll out a yearlong “Celebrating 250 Years of America” campaign across its entire fleet.
The tribute won’t be limited to a single sailing or region. Every cruise in 2026, spanning 35 states from Alaska to Florida, will carry elements of the anniversary theme.
From river routes to coastal voyages, the company is weaving the celebration into the full guest experience.
Onboard, the atmosphere will reflect the occasion in both subtle and festive ways. Guests can expect themed cocktail parties, red, white and blue desserts, and even a special “Spirit of 1776” cocktail menu created for the anniversary year.
Daily trivia moments and a 250th-inspired game show are also planned, adding a lighthearted educational touch to the sailings.
The celebration continues ashore. Included excursions at every port will give guests opportunities to connect with local history, while certain departures will feature additional programming tied to the country’s past.
On July 4, Independence Day festivities will take center stage, with fireworks and special events planned across the fleet.
One standout moment is expected on the 52-Day Great United States Cruise. Guests on that sailing will witness fireworks over Boston Harbor, a location deeply tied to American history and the events that helped shape the nation’s independence.
The visual presence of the anniversary will be hard to miss. Every ship will carry a commemorative 250th logo on the bow throughout 2026, and large American flags will be displayed on embarkation days.
Crew members will wear celebratory badges, and special edition keepsakes, including collectible pins, will be available for guests.
The anniversary year also aligns with growth for the company. American Cruise Lines is set to welcome three new ships in 2026, with six more scheduled to join the fleet through 2028.
By combining expansion with a nationwide celebration, the company is positioning 2026 as both a tribute to the past and a confident step into its own future.
