38m Royal Hakvoort Motor Yacht Perle Bleue Sold for $6.2 Million

Jacob Foster

Perle Bleue has officially changed hands, bringing a new owner onboard one of Royal Hakvoort’s quietly respected motor yachts.

The 38-metre yacht was sold in a deal that saw John Ioannides of B&T Shipbrokers introduce the buyer, while Richard Lambert of Burgess, together with Chris Collins and Thom Conboy of Ocean Independence, represented the seller.

As is often the case in this segment of the market, the process was handled professionally and without fanfare.

Delivered in 2007 by Royal Hakvoort Shipyard, Perle Bleue carries the hallmarks of Dutch craftsmanship. Her exterior lines, drawn by Diana Yacht Design, give her a timeless and balanced look, while the interior by Donald Starkey Designs brings warmth and comfort rather than trend-driven styling.

The yacht feels thoughtfully put together, with spaces designed to be lived in, not just admired.

She accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms, including a main-deck owner’s suite that offers a private study, generous wardrobe space, and its own ensuite bathroom.

The layout provides a sense of privacy for the owner while still keeping the yacht well suited for family cruising or entertaining friends. The overall atmosphere onboard is relaxed and practical.

Natural light plays a big role in her appeal. The skylounge, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, offers open views and a welcoming setting for gathering.

On the upper aft deck, a large dining table for up to 12 guests creates an easy space for outdoor meals, while the sundeck complete with a Jacuzzi, sunbeds, and a pop-up bar is clearly designed for enjoying time at anchor.

Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, Perle Bleue cruises comfortably at around 10 knots and reaches a top speed of 13 knots.

At the time of her sale, she had a last known asking price of approximately $6.2 million. Her sale reflects steady demand for well-built, mid-size yachts that combine solid engineering with a layout that genuinely works at sea.

The transaction follows other notable brokerage activity this season, including the recent sale of the 56-metre Delta Marine superyacht Starship after years of refits and upgrades.
