61m Lürssen Superyacht Marguerite Sells in $37.5M Deal

Bryan Conrad

The 61.3-metre Lürssen superyacht Marguerite has been sold, quietly changing hands after more than two decades as a respected presence on the water. The transaction was handled with Jan Jaap Minnema of Fraser introducing the buyer, while Moran Yacht & Ship represented the seller.

Delivered in 2004, Marguerite is a yacht that has aged with grace rather than chasing passing trends. Her exterior lines and interior styling were both created by Winch Design, giving her a timeless look that still feels elegant today.

Over the years, the yacht has been carefully looked after, with owners choosing thoughtful upgrades over cosmetic shortcuts. A recent refit focused on major technical improvements, mechanical servicing and subtle refinements that enhance reliability and comfort.

Rather than reinventing the yacht, the work respected her original character. That approach has helped Marguerite remain relevant in a market where buyers increasingly value proven quality and readiness to cruise.

Designed for Real Time on Board

With an internal volume of 1,444 gross tonnes, Marguerite feels calm, spacious and easy to live on. She accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms, arranged to give both owners and guests a genuine sense of privacy.

The owner’s apartment is the heart of the yacht. Spanning two levels on the main and upper decks, it feels more like a private residence than a traditional yacht suite.

Inside, the space includes his-and-hers bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes, a dedicated office and an observation lounge. A private sun deck completes the area, offering the owner a quiet place to relax away from the rest of the yacht.

Guest accommodation is equally well thought out. A VIP suite sits on the upper deck, while four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, each finished with the same attention to comfort.

Built to Be Used, Not Just Admired

Marguerite is clearly a yacht meant to be enjoyed at sea, not just admired at anchor. Onboard amenities include a professional dive centre, an indoor gym and generous tender storage for watersports and exploration.

Her deck spaces are designed for relaxed cruising, featuring wide sunpads and a Jacuzzi that create natural gathering spots throughout the day. Whether hosting guests or taking quieter family trips, the layout adapts easily to various usage styles.

Powered by twin MTU engines, Marguerite cruises comfortably at 14 knots and can reach up to 16 knots when needed. At the time of her sale, her last known asking price was $37.5 million.

The sale of Marguerite is a reminder that yachts with strong pedigree, sensible upgrades and real cruising history continue to hold their appeal. For her new owner, she represents a yacht that is ready to go confident, capable and still full of life.
