Azamara Plans Extensive Ship Upgrades Ahead of 2027 World Cruise

Azamara Cruises is getting ready for a major glow-up, and it’s the biggest one the brand has ever attempted.

Called Azamara Forward, the new program focuses on refreshing ships in thoughtful ways, without losing the small-ship feel that longtime guests love.

Rather than chasing flashy trends, Azamara is leaning into comfort, design, and the little details that make life onboard feel special.

From dining venues to staterooms, nearly every part of the ships will see some level of improvement.

Food and drink are a major focus of the upgrades, starting with a new Chef’s Table experience designed for guests who enjoy intimate, elevated dining.

Main restaurants will also be refreshed, giving familiar spaces a more modern look while keeping the flavors guests already know.

Another noticeable change will be the rollout of a redesigned Atlas Bar across all four ships.

The popular Cabaret Lounge is also being completely reworked, creating a more inviting space for shows, music, and late-night entertainment.

Wellness areas haven’t been overlooked either, with upgraded treatment rooms planned for The Sanctum Spa.

Even public restrooms across the fleet are getting refreshed, a small but meaningful improvement for frequent cruisers.

The first ship to showcase Azamara Forward will be the Azamara Quest, timed ahead of the brand’s highly anticipated 2027 World Cruise.

The Quest will also receive exclusive enhancements, including 12 brand-new premier suites not found on the other ships.

These additions include Panorama Suites, a redesigned Penthouse Deck, and ten spacious Grandview Suites with sweeping views. CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler said the program reflects years of guest feedback and careful listening.

The announcement follows a period of strong demand across the cruise sector, with Azamara also benefiting from a surge in bookings tied to recent record-breaking sales events and growing interest in long-term and world cruise itineraries.

She emphasized that Azamara Forward isn’t about reinventing the brand, but about polishing what already works so well.

After the Quest, the Azamara Onward is scheduled to receive similar upgrades in 2027.

Details for renovations on the Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit will be shared later.

For guests, the changes promise a more refined onboard experience that still feels relaxed and familiar.

Azamara Forward signals a confident step into the future, modern, comfortable, and still deeply focused on the destinations that matter most.
