The sale of this 52-metre Bilgin 170 superyacht feels like another confident step forward for the custom yacht market, especially at a time when buyers are becoming more selective about space, comfort and long-term value.
Announced by Fraser, the deal involves hull NB85 from Bilgin Yachts’ well-known 170 series, with delivery planned for 2027.
The transaction was introduced by Anton Farber of Fraser Monaco, with Jan Jaap Minnema of Fraser Monaco and Josh Gulbranson of Fraser USA representing the seller.
While the final price remains private, the sale itself speaks volumes about the ongoing appetite for proven platforms that combine generous volume with reliable performance.
Currently taking shape in Turkey, the yacht reached an important milestone in July 2025 when she completed her technical launch.
Since then, she has been moved to Bilgin’s outfitting facility in Antalya, where the focus has shifted to interiors, systems and final detailing. This stage is where the yacht truly begins to feel like a home on the water rather than a construction project.
Designed inside and out by Unique Yacht Design, with interiors by Hot Lab, the Bilgin 170 has been carefully planned around comfort and natural light.
Large hull windows flood the interior with daylight, creating a bright and airy feel that owners increasingly expect from modern yachts. At just under 500 gross tons, she offers around 20 percent more usable space than many yachts in the same size range.
Guest accommodation is spread across four decks and includes six staterooms for up to 12 guests, supported by crew quarters for 10.
The master suite is particularly well thought out, featuring a private office, desk and extra wardrobe space ideal for owners planning longer stays onboard.
Outdoor living is just as important here, with a spacious sundeck complete with a large pool that’s perfect for relaxing or entertaining.
From a technical perspective, the yacht is equipped with Caterpillar main engines and generators, along with four-fin CMC electric stabilisers to ensure a smooth ride both underway and at anchor.
With a cruising speed of around 12 knots, a top speed of 16 knots and a transoceanic range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles, the Bilgin 170 is built for serious cruising.
This latest sale once again highlights the growing reputation of Turkish shipyards and the continued demand for yachts that balance comfort, capability and thoughtful design.
The deal mirrors a wider pattern seen across the market, with buyers increasingly locking in new-build superyachts years ahead of delivery, as seen in recent Azimut Grande 36 transactions.
