Tony Daniels becomes Hurtigruten general manager

Tony Daniels

Tony Daniels has been made UK general manager of Hurtigruten following the departure of the company’s managing director, Magnus Zetterberg.

Daniels was formerly head of sales in the UK for the company.

The departure of Zetterberg sees the creation of two new roles: a general manager of the UK and a vice president sales Europe, into which the UK, Nordics and EMEA will report. Heiko Jensen has been recruited to the position.

Asta Lassesen, CCO of Hurtigruten said; “We are delighted to appoint Tony and Heiko to these new roles that we have created. We are confident they will both continue to deliver great results for Hurtigruten especially in the lead up to the launch of our first hybrid ship, the MS Roald Amundsen. We also want to take the time to say thank you to Magnus for his great work and dedication to making Hurtigruten a success in the UK and EMEA. We wish him all the best for his next adventure.”

Daniels will report in to Jensen, who has more than 20 years of experience and joined Hurtigruten in 2013.
