Disney Cruise Line has officially taken delivery of its newest cruise ship, Disney Adventure, marking a major milestone for the company’s global expansion plans. The vessel was delivered following completion work in Germany.

Originally constructed as Global Dream, the ship was acquired by Disney Cruise Line after the insolvency of MV Werften. Disney later redesigned the vessel to align with its brand and family focused cruise experience.

At approximately 208,000 gross tons, Disney Adventure is the largest ship ever to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The vessel measures more than 340 metres in length, making her one of the world’s largest cruise ships by size.

The ship has been extensively reimagined to feature Disney themed entertainment, dining and public spaces. Disney Cruise Line worked with multiple partners to adapt the original design into a family centric layout.

Disney Adventure is designed to accommodate up to 6,700 guests, supported by a large crew complement. The ship features a wide range of stateroom categories, including family friendly accommodations.

Public areas onboard include expansive entertainment venues, themed attractions and multiple dining concepts. The vessel also offers extensive outdoor deck spaces and recreational facilities.

Following delivery, Disney Adventure will undergo final preparations before entering service. The ship is scheduled to begin operations in Asia, with Singapore announced as her homeport. The deployment represents Disney Cruise Line’s first permanent presence in the Asian cruise market.

The company plans to operate short-duration itineraries tailored to regional demand.

The addition of Disney Adventure supports Disney’s broader fleet expansion strategy. Several new ships are scheduled to join the fleet over the coming years. With her size and capacity, Disney Adventure signals a new chapter for Disney Cruise Line.

The delivery highlights the company’s ambition to compete in the large-ship segment while maintaining its family-focused identity.
