Feadship Etherea Concept

Feadship has unveiled Etherea, a 76-metre superyacht concept developed through its Fifth Element program. Presented during the yard’s 75th anniversary, the design embraces natural light, open layouts and seamless indoor outdoor flow.

At the centre of the design is a vertical light spine that draws daylight deep into the yacht, opening up every deck with a calm, spacious feel. This feature shapes the entire interior architecture, enhancing movement and maintaining continuous sightlines throughout the vessel.

As a concept study, Etherea is not owned by a client, but serves as Feadship’s vision of how the next generation of yacht owners may prefer to live on board calmer, more connected and more spatially fluid than ever before.

Vertical Light Spine

This image showcases the vertical light spine that defines the entire design. Extending from the sundeck downward, the translucent structure funnels natural light through the yacht’s core. The team behind the concept describes the feature as essential to creating calm, unified spaces, replacing the more compartmentalised layouts seen on traditional large yachts.

Owner Deck

The owner’s deck includes a forward-facing suite with panoramic glazing, a private terrace and adaptable lounge areas. Inspired by modern residential design, the space can transition between working, living and entertainment functions, catering to owners who spend extended periods on board.

Performance and Powertrain For Etherea

In terms of performance, Etherea is designed to run on twin Veth POD CR1250i units, giving the yacht a projected top speed of 14.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots. She is expected to achieve a range of approximately 4,500 nautical miles at cruising speed, supported by a fuel capacity of 145,000 litres and a freshwater capacity of 35,000 litres.

If commissioned, a yacht of this scale is expected to cost between $210 million and $230 million, depending on the propulsion package, interior specification and degree of customization. The estimate is consistent with current pricing for Northern European builds in the 76-metre range.
