Lazzara Yachts has officially started construction on its newest superyacht, the 48-metre UHV 160, a project that reflects just how far the brand’s ultra-high-volume concept has evolved. The yacht is currently under construction using composite materials and is expected to be delivered in mid-2028.
What began as the UHV 150 quickly grew into something bigger. As the owner worked closely with Lazzara’s team, it became clear that more space was needed for family time, guests, and extended stays on board, leading to the upgrade and renaming of UHV 160.
Despite measuring just under 500 gross tons, the yacht promises the kind of interior volume normally found on much larger vessels. Lazzara’s focus with this build is simple: deliver generous living spaces without sacrificing performance, efficiency, or range.
From the outside, the UHV 160 makes a strong first impression. The yacht features expansive glass running nearly the full length of the hull, giving it a modern, confident look while filling the interior with natural light.
Built for Real Life on the Water
Inside, the yacht has been designed with comfort and practicality in mind. British studio H2 Yacht Design is handling the interiors, blending luxury with layouts meant for everyday use rather than show-only spaces.
The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms, making it ideal for both private cruising and entertaining. A crew of 10 will be housed in dedicated quarters, ensuring smooth operations and a high level of service on longer voyages.
One of the standout features is the expansive beach club at the stern. Designed to be the largest in its class, it features a Jacuzzi and fold-out balconies that bring guests closer to the water, creating a true resort-style atmosphere onboard.
Under the surface, the UHV 160 is built with a fast-displacement hull using epoxy E-glass composite materials.
This allows for quiet operation, strong performance, and long-range cruising without compromising efficiency.
The shift toward sustainable luxury is also reshaping yacht design, as seen in futuristic concepts like a 153-metre hybrid superyacht built with next-generation propulsion and eco-focused innovation, offering a glimpse into where the industry is headed.
Lazzara has also placed a strong emphasis on reliability and sustainability. Redundant systems and commercial-grade pod propulsion help ensure safe, smooth cruising across a wide range of destinations.
With several yachts already under construction, including the larger 50-metre EX 165, the UHV 160 signals another confident step forward for Lazzara Yachts. It’s a project driven by real owners’ needs for space, comfort, and freedom to cruise without limits.
