Lürssen Launches 102m Superyacht JASSI, The Most Secretive Build in Recent Years

The launch of the 102.4-metre superyacht JASSI marks another standout moment for German shipyard Lürssen, quietly reinforcing its reputation for building some of the world’s most impressive private yachts.

Slipped into the water at Lürssen’s Rendsburg facility, the yacht’s appearance has been met with growing curiosity, especially given how closely guarded the project has been from the very beginning.

Previously known under the build name JASSJ, construction on JASSI began back in March 2021. The first public glimpse came in December 2023, when her hull was launched, but since then, very little information has been released.

That sense of mystery has only added to the yacht’s appeal, with Lürssen and the design team keeping details firmly behind closed doors.

Both the exterior and interior design have been handled by the respected British studio RWD, a name synonymous with understated luxury and refined proportions.

From the first images now emerging, JASSI stays true to Lürssen’s signature style, featuring an elegant elongated bow and expansive exterior deck areas designed for relaxed outdoor living.

Her grey hull, paired with a sleek black boot stripe near the waterline, gives the yacht a powerful yet timeless presence.

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, JASSI measures an impressive 15 metres in beam and has a draft of 3.9 metres.

Onboard, she is designed to comfortably host up to 20 guests across 10 staterooms, suggesting a layout suited for extended cruising, entertaining, and family use alike.

While interior details remain undisclosed, expectations are high given RWD’s involvement and Lürssen’s build pedigree. JASSI’s launch comes at a time when Lürssen continues to dominate the top end of the superyacht market.

The launch follows a series of notable recent Lürssen transactions, including the sale of the 61-metre superyacht Marguerite in a €37.5 million brokerage deal earlier this year.

The shipyard currently has several major projects under construction, including the striking 146.2-metre Project Defy and the 122.5-metre Project Omega, both drawing significant attention within the industry.

As JASSI moves into the next phase of outfitting and sea trials, anticipation is building around her eventual delivery. Even without revealing all her secrets, the launch alone confirms that this yacht is set to be a serious addition to the global superyacht fleet.
