CMV to introduce family cruises
Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is to introduce two multi-generational family cruises in 2017 on board Columbus, its new flagship which is due to launch in June next year.
The cruises will head to the Norwegian Fjords and Canary Islands respectively, with child fares starting at £99.
The two sailings will mark the first time that CMV will offer fares specifically for children. The change has come as a result of passengers requesting child places for their grandchildren, the company confirmed.
Lisa Jacobs, head of CMV trade sales said: “In response to customer comments, we have decided to identify two cruises in August aboard Columbus as multi-generational. We recognise that many of our customers enjoy holidaying as a family taking their children and grand-children and so these two cruises offer the perfect opportunity.”
The cruise to the Norwegian Fjords, on August 4, will be a seven night sailing with child fares from £99pp, while the Canary Islands & Madeira cruise, on August 11, will be for for 14 nights with child fares from £199pp.
Fares are based on two adults sharing a cabin on a buy one get one free basis and must be booked by June 30, 2016. The child fares are based on one or two children sharing the cabin with the two adults.
