Crystal Cruises confirms second aircraft
Ultra luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has confirmed that it will be ordering a second aircraft, to go with its already ordered Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The firm, which recently announced a massive expansion plan, said that the second plane would be used to to take shorter, 14-day trips.
While not confirming the exact type of aircraft, it is understood that it will be similar to the 787.
The first aircraft is going to be used for 28-day trips.
The idea behind Crystal’s air expansion – known as Crystal Luxury Air – is to offer loyal guests a chance to take a holiday with Crystal, away from the water.
The aircraft will visit destinations not currently frequented by major operators, with guests staying in luxury hotels along the way.
Within the last few weeks Crystal has announced it will be introducing a yacht, a river company, residences at sea as well as its air holiday division.
