Crystal Symphony Returns to Service After Fresh Refit in Genoa

The Crystal Symphony is back at sea. The ship returned to service on November 26 after a quick three-week refit in Genoa, Italy.

Her first sailing? A 23-night voyage from Lisbon to Cape Town, stopping in Spain, Cape Verde and across the Atlantic.

The refit focused on cleaner lines and brighter spaces. Crystal redesigned the atrium with a new two-story DeCastelli mosaic, adding more seating and a modern flow.

The bronze “Dance” sculpture by Satoru Kitago was removed and later auctioned to support MD Anderson Cancer Center – a rare blend of art and philanthropy at sea.

Suites also received updates. New carpets, fabrics and furniture were added, especially in the Aquamarine and Sapphire Classic categories.

Crystal Symphony now heads into a busy world program. She continues sailing through Africa and the Indian Ocean, with calls in Goa, Mumbai, the Seychelles, and Tanzania.

In spring, she shifts to Japan and South Korea. By summer, she crosses the Pacific for a season in Alaska and Canada.

The upgrades are part of Crystal’s push under A&K Travel Group, which revived the brand after restructuring. The goal: elevate the guest experience and restore Crystal’s luxury edge.

With a refreshed look and global routes ahead, Crystal Symphony enters 2026 with momentum — and a modern profile to match.
