Fred. Olsen begins second season at Liverpool

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has reconfirmed its commitment to Liverpool with its 880-passenger Boudicca leaving the port for its second season at the iconic Pier Head Terminal.

The ship, which departed for an eight-night sailing to the Norwegian Fjords, will also be taking passengers out to Greenland and Iceland later in the month.

There will be 11 sailings from Liverpool for the entire 2014/15 cruise season, an increase on the 10 of last season.

“It is great to be back in Liverpool for our second cruise season on Boudicca, one of the most popular ships in our fleet,” said Nathan Philpot, sales & marketing director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. “We were very encouraged by the commitment shown by our loyal guests in the Merseyside region last year, and we are offering even more cruises from this vibrant city in 2014.

“With its stunning vistas and proud maritime heritage, there is something very special about cruising from Liverpool, and it is a tremendous benefit to be able to offer our guests the chance to set sail from the world-famous Pier Head.”

The company has also added the likes of Bristol and Belfast to its list of regional departures as the cruise lines shores up its commitment to regional departures.

Fred. Olsen now offers UK departures from 10 ports.
