Holland America Line is marking a major milestone in its long history at sea, celebrating 100 years of Caribbean cruising in 2026.
To honor the occasion, the cruise line has launched a limited-time promotion designed to give travelers both savings and a sense of nostalgia.
The celebration traces back to 1926, when the Veendam II became one of the first ships to sail the Caribbean for leisure travel. At a time when cruising was still a novelty, that voyage helped shape what would eventually become modern cruise tourism.
To mark the centennial, Holland America is offering guests a $100 onboard credit per stateroom, symbolizing 100 years in the region, along with additional fare discounts and family-friendly incentives.
Limited-Time Offers With Big Savings
From February 3 to February 9, 2026, guests can book select Caribbean cruises sailing through April 30 and receive up to 50 percent off cruise fares.
On top of that, travelers can enjoy a $50 onboard credit per guest, while kids aged 18 and under can sail free on select departures.
The surge in interest mirrors broader travel trends, with cruise lines also reporting strong forward bookings across key itineraries, including a noticeable rise in demand for Europe-focused sailings in 2026.
Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line, said the anniversary represents more than a number. It reflects a century of exploration, guest loyalty, and the evolution of cruising itself. She noted that the promotion was designed to feel meaningful, not just promotional.
The offers apply to sailings departing from popular Florida homeports, including Fort Lauderdale and Miami, making them accessible for both repeat cruisers and first-time guests.
Featured Sailings Across the Caribbean
The anniversary promotion includes a wide range of itineraries covering the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean.
Highlights include a 10-day Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Koningsdam, visiting the Greater Antilles, Belize, and Mexico, departing February 25, 2026.
Other featured voyages include a seven-day Western Caribbean sailing on Eurodam, a 10-day Southern Caribbean cruise on Zuiderdam calling at the ABC Islands, and multiple Eastern Caribbean options featuring the Bahamas, Amber Cove, and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
Several sailings depart roundtrip from both Fort Lauderdale and Miami, offering flexibility for travelers planning winter and early spring escapes.
As Holland America Line reflects on a century of Caribbean cruising, the anniversary serves as both a tribute to the past and an invitation to experience the region in a way that helped define cruise travel itself.
