Norwegian Cruise Line to advertise on TV for first time

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it is to advertise on television for the first time, later this month.

The company’s 30-second ad will air on Friday 14 September and run until 12 October on ITV1 in the Granada, Midlands, the Borders and Scotland regions, and nationally on ITV3 and ITV4.

The advert will showcase on board features including Norwegian Bliss’s largest racetrack at sea and destinations such as Alaska.

The advert features a travel agent to call action.

Nick Wilkinson, vice president and managing director, UK&I and MEA, said: “The Norwegian brand resonates highly in the UK, passengers love the freedom and flexibility on board and the opportunity to tailor their holiday on their own terms.

“Our aim is to target those who may not have considered cruising before and showcase the amazing offerings on board, and the stunning destinations we visit.”

In addition, a seven-week radio campaign began on Saturday 8 September and will last until Wednesday 31 October on Heart Scotland and Clyde 1 in the Glasgow and Edinburgh regions, and Heart North West in Granada.
