P&O Cruises unveils 2016/2017 holidays

Southampton-based P&O Cruises has revealed its 2016/2017 holidays, including maiden calls at Corigliano Calabro and Crotone in Italy and Tarragona in Spain. 

The 2016/2017 programme is open for pre-registration and holidays go on general sale from April 13.

Included are several ‘event’ cruises, which take in festivals and world-renowned gatherings such as the Monaco Grand Prix (on Oceana), New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (Aurora) and Madeira Flower Festival (Oriana).

New itineraries include a 17-night western Mediterranean cruise on Arcadia departing October 5, visiting Naples, Ceuta, Toulon, Elba and Cagliari, and a 14-night Iceland cruise on Azura departing June 19, visiting Belfast, Stornoway, Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyi, Lerwick and Kirkwall.

P&O has also added further Greek island cruises to its programme, which are available on Aurora, Azura and Ventura and take in the likes of Mykonos, Santorini, Zakinthos, Piraeus (for Athens), Katakolon (for Olympia) and Mallorca.

The maiden calls of Corigliano Calabro, Crotone and Tarragona all take place on Oriana.

Furthermore, P&O’s popular Strictly Come Dancing-themed cruises are set to return with four of the show’s professional dancers on each of the following cruises:

  • 14-night Canary Islands cruise on Ventura departing April 22, 2016
  • 13-night Canary Islands cruise on Britannia departing May 16, 2016
  • 13-night Canary Islands cruise on Britannia departing June 5, 2016
  • 14-night Mediterranean cruise on Azura departing July 22, 2016
