Star Clippers has revealed its Mediterranean program for the summer 2027 season, doubling down on its niche focus: small-ship sailing with access to ports large cruise vessels can’t reach.
The lineup features voyages aboard Star Clipper, Star Flyer, and Royal Clipper, with itineraries spanning the Western and Eastern Mediterranean.
Sailings will operate between April and October 2027.
The company said the new season builds on growing demand for traditional sailing experiences paired with modern cruise comforts.
Several itineraries focus on the Greek Isles, Croatia, Italy, France, and Spain, combining marquee destinations with lesser-known ports that are often inaccessible to mainstream cruise ships.
Ports such as Sardinia, Corsica, smaller Greek islands, and Adriatic coastal towns are again central to the schedule.
Unlike larger cruise operators, Star Clippers continues to emphasize longer port stays and overnight calls, allowing guests more time ashore without rushed excursions. Larger operators like Norwegian Cruise Line recently announced their 2027–28 Season Plans.
The three-masted Royal Clipper, one of the world’s largest full-rigged sailing ships, anchors the program with seven- to eleven-night voyages across the Mediterranean basin.
The smaller Star Clipper and Star Flyer focus on more intimate routes, often featuring loop itineraries from ports like Venice, Rome, and Athens.
Company executives said the 2027 deployment reflects sustained interest in slow travel, sailing heritage, and destination-first itineraries, particularly among repeat cruisers seeking alternatives to high-capacity ships.
Bookings for the summer 2027 season are expected to open well in advance, following strong early demand patterns seen across Star Clippers’ recent European deployments.
