Voyages of Discovery launches 2017 winter programme
Voyages of Discovery has launched its winter 2017-18 season with cruises to destinations including Madagascar, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, the Seychelles and the Maldives.
The line will also be calling at South Africa and Dubai.
“Voyages of Discovery is cruising to paradise for the Winter 2017 – 2018 season, calling at the picturesque islands of Mauritius, the Maldives, the Seychelles and Sri Lanka. Not forgetting the port calls in South Africa, India, the United Arab Emirates and a transit through the Suez Canal,” said Lynn Cornish, director of planning and product ocean cruising, Voyages of Discovery.
Voyager, Voyages of Discovery’s flagship, will start the season in Tenerife on November 29, 2017 with a 22-day cruise to Cape Town. Prices for the cruise, which calls at Namibia and St Helena, start at £1,709 per person.
“Passengers on Voyages of Discovery’s Winter season will have to opportunity to experience the destinations that we call at through the optional excursions, which include the Addo Elephant Park in Port Elizabeth and a cruise on Lake St Lucia in Richards Bay,” added Cornish.
Another highlight of the season is the RHS Garden Holidays partnered 15-day flora and fauna cruise from Cape Town to Mauritius, with calls at Reunion Island and Madagascar. The voyage includes calls at the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens in Port Louis, the chance to see the ‘Big Five’ on safari and the active Piton de la Fournaise volcano on Reunion Island. Departs on January 3.
The company is offering savings of up to 20 per cent on all winter 2017-18 cruises booked by October 31, 2016 and limited no single supplements on selected cabin grades for the same booking period.
