Atlas Ocean Voyages has named Nicolas “Nico” Calvo as its new Regional Sales Director for Latin America, marking another step in the brand’s international growth. He will be based in Bogotá, Colombia, and will support the company’s expanding presence across the region.
The appointment highlights Atlas’s focus on strengthening relationships with travel partners in key emerging markets. Latin America continues to show growing interest in luxury and expedition-style cruising.
A Leader With Deep Luxury Cruise Experience
Calvo brings strong experience from the luxury travel sector, most recently working with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Between 2023 and 2025, he played an important role in both onboard and consumer sales initiatives.
Before that, he held positions with Hilton, building a solid foundation in high-end hospitality and guest engagement. His background reflects a clear understanding of premium travel and personalized service.
The appointment also follows a period of strong momentum for the company, which recently reported double-digit sales growth and an optimistic outlook heading into 2026.
Calvo holds a Master of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and graduated with Dean’s List honors. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, making him well suited for the diverse Latin American market.
Supporting Trade Partners as Atlas Grows Globally
In his new role, Calvo will focus on strengthening trade relationships, increasing brand awareness, and supporting sales strategies across Latin America. His appointment aligns closely with Atlas Ocean Voyages’ “Trade First” approach.
Company leadership noted that Calvo’s experience will help ensure travel partners continue receiving strong regional support. This is especially important as Atlas introduces new products and expands its fleet.
With developments like the upcoming Atlas Adventurer luxury expedition sailing yacht, the company is entering a new phase of growth.
Calvo’s leadership is expected to play a key role in connecting Latin American travelers with Atlas’ evolving cruise offerings.
