Erin Johnson to join Silversea
Erin Johnson is to join Silversea as head of marketing after 15 years at Carnival Corporation, most recently holding the position of marketing director at Carnival Cruise Lines.
Johnson, who will join the company on March 20, will replace Natalie Sexton who recently left the line to become group marketing manager at Malmaison & Hotel Du Vin Group in January.
The appointment follows the slimming down of Carnival Cruise Lines’ UK-based marketing team. Charlotte Mendoza, Carnival Cruise Lines’ marketing supervisor, left the company last December.
Carnival Cruise Lines has no European departures scheduled before three cruises in April 2018, for the launch of Carnival Horizon.
Lisa McAuley, Silversea managing director, UK & Ireland said: “With over 15 years’ experience in the cruising industry, we are very proud to be welcoming Erin and her wealth of knowledge and expertise to Silversea. This latest appointment further strengthens our top team within the all-important UK and Irish market in what promises to be a very busy year for the company.”
Johnson added: “I am delighted to be joining Silversea at such an exciting time. With Silver Muse launching in just a few weeks, the transition of Silver Cloud to the expedition fleet later this year, and a host of new developments at sea and on land, I am looking forward to further raising awareness of the award-winning Silversea product to consumers and the trade.”
