New York City, the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls with Riviera Travel
Riviera Travel has launched a new programme of transatlantic cruises on the iconic Queen Mary 2.
Guests are invited to take the historic voyage on the newly remastered ship, with three different once-in-a-lifetime post-cruise options.
Riviera Travel Tour Managers will escort the group throughout each of the holidays, including on the cruise.
New York and the Niagara Falls
Sailing from Southampton, the ship spends seven leisurely days at sea before arriving at the Big Apple’s stunning harbour.
After a few days of exploring the city that never sleeps, guests travel to the border of Canada and explore the stunning Niagara Falls.
They then continue exploring the beauty of Canada in Niagara-on-the-Lake, regarded as the prettiest town in Ontario and travel along the shore of Lake Ontario to Toronto.
- 14 days from only £1,799 pp; departing May & October 2017
New York & the Rocky Mountaineer
Following a transatlantic cruise and three days in New York, guests travel to breathtaking Banff where they will stay in a beautiful spa resort, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the beauty of Canada.
The tour includes travel along the spectacular Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise and the azure-blue glacial waters of Peyto Lake.
This incredible trip takes guests on one of the world’s greatest train journeys on the Rocky Mountaineer. Guests pass the Jaws of Death Gorge, explore Avalanche Valley and Hell’s Gate Canyon and the vibrant city of Vancouver before returning to the UK.
- 17 days from only £3,999 pp; departing July 2017
New York, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas & the Original Queen Mary
Following the transatlantic cruise and three days in New York, guests fly to Phoenix, Arizona and board the iconic Grand Canyon Railroad for a visit to the spectacular Grand Canyon.
Next up is Route 66, which takes in the imposing Hoover Dam on the way to Las Vegas, with its famous neon-lit strip.
Guests also get the chance to stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, visit the Chinese Theatre and Sunset Boulevard once arriving in Los Angeles, where they will stay on the original Queen Mary, now a floating hotel in Long Beach Harbour.
- 17 days from only £2,999 pp; departing August 2017
Joseph Grimley, head of agent sales at Riviera Travel, said: “We decided to include one of our experienced Tour Managers throughout the whole holiday, including the cruise part. If customers are used to travelling in a group we felt they may feel slightly lost embarking such a huge ship.
“Having the Tour Manager onboard will help to bring the Riviera Travel group together and promote a feeling of belonging. In addition to this it will ensure the group have a chance to socialise and bond before continuing their tour together on arrival in New York.
“The three post-cruise options offer a fabulous and diverse choice of touring. I especially like the West Coast option where clients will end their journey by staying on the original Queen Mary ship, which is now a floating hotel moored in Long Beach in Los Angeles.”
