Princess confirms new ship for 2019

has confirmed that it has signed a deal on a new ship, due for delivery in 2019.

The new vessel, which will be built by Italian shipyard Fincantieri, will hold about 3,560 guests.

The announcement, made last week by ’ parent company, Carnival Corporation, will increase Princess’ fleet to 19.

The vessel will be a sister ship to Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess, which is due to launch in 2017.

The as-yet unnamed vessel will cost of about €600m.
In a statement, Princess said it would confirm the ship’s deployment at a later date.

Tony Roberts, vice president of UK, said: “We’re incredibly excited to confirm that ’ growth continues with the order of another royal class ship. Demand and confidence in Princess has never been higher and we’re delighted that in just a few years’ time even more guests will get the chance to travel with us in style to over 360 destinations across the world.”
