Princess Cruises to star in ITV documentary
Princess Cruises has announced that its newest ship, Royal Princess, is to be part of a four-part documentary on ITV that its UK boss has likened to the classic ‘Love Boat’ series.
The show, called ‘The Cruise Ship’, will follow different members of Royal Princess’ crew around, giving a behind the scenes look at day-to-day life onboard.
Paul Ludlow, Princess Cruises’ managing director UK and Europe, said: “We are thrilled the crew on Royal Princess will star in this major series. We’re positive the show will strike a chord with everyone who enjoys travelling with us and also open up the appeal of cruising to a whole new generation of holidaymakers.”
While it has been confirmed that the show will be on ITV1 over the summer, further scheduling details are yet to be announced.
We are confident that this programme will do wonders for Princess Cruises as well as the entire cruise industry.

Ludlow went on to add: “Even our most travelled guests will be amazed at just how much hard work goes into making sure our ships run smoothly. We’re so proud of everything Princess Cruises has to offer and can’t wait for television viewers to see this for themselves.
“We are confident that this programme will do wonders for Princess Cruises as well as the entire cruise industry.”
The line has also confirmed that the programme’s production company – Pulse Films – had final editorial responsibility. The cruise company was only able to make “factual’ changes”.
It has also been reported that Pulse Films is in talks for a US version of the show – using Princess Cruises.
Crew members featuring in the show include Dirk Brand, hotel general manager; Sam Hawker, cruise director; and Brent Waterson, executive sous chef.
