Riviera to have agents christen new ships

Riviera Travel is to launch a competition to make a travel agent the godmother to one of the company’s two new 5-star river cruise ships, the MS Thomas Hardy and the MS Emily Brontë.

“Despite having over 30 years of award-winning experience in the industry, this is in fact the first time we have officially christened our river cruise ships and given them their all-important Godmothers,” said Ben Hitchcock, Marketing Director at Riviera Travel. “Our travel agents are such a vital part of our business that we felt it was only right to honour them by making them the ships’ first Godmothers.”

The godmothers will be flown to the Netherlands on February 24 for the ceremony and entertainment on board.
