Veteran airline executive to lead Crystal’s air programme
Crystal Cruises has appointed Marc Cavaliere, a longtime air industry executive, to head up its air division.
The company, which has been expanding rapidly since it was purchased by Genting Hong Kong last year, has recently launched Crystal Luxury Air. Crystal AirCruises will take flight in autumn 2017.
As of July 1, Cavaliere will oversee all operations, sales and marketing efforts for company’s airborne offerings.
Its fleet is made up of a “lavishly outfitted” 12-seat Bombardier Global Express XRS jet and an 88-seat Boeing 777-200LR, which will fly 14- and 28- day around-the-world itineraries.
“We are delighted to welcome Marc to the Crystal team and are confident that, with such a well-rounded expert in this leadership role, Crystal Luxury Air and Crystal AirCruises will mark an extraordinary new standard of luxury air travel,” says Rodriguez.
Cavaliere has acted in several executive roles – most recently as executive vice president for the Americas for South African Airways.
He has led global teams with various airlines including Pan Am, Spirit Airlines and American Airlines.
Cavaliere will lead Crystal Luxury Air and Crystal AirCruises from the company’s Miami branch office, reporting directly to Rodriguez.
