Princess to toast anniversary with own beer

Princess Cruises will launch a new beer to commemorate the company’s 50^th anniversary.

The Seawitch West Coast IPA was created by US craft beer specialist Strike Brewing Company and will be available onboard the line’s newest ship, Regal Princess, in November.

Paul Ludlow, Princess Cruises’ managing director UK and Europe, said: “We’re all counting down to Princess Cruises’ 50^th anniversary celebrations, so being able to raise a glass of our own beer will make for the ideal toast.

“We hope all of our guests, from those who have travelled around the world with Princess Cruises to those just starting out, will celebrate our milestone anniversary on board with us.”

Regal Princess will be named in Fort Lauderdale on 5 November, launching the company’s 50th anniversary year.

The original cast of hit TV series The Love Boat will name the vessel.
