Silversea launches speciality expedition cruise collections

Silversea has launched new collections of speciality expeditions – each with a focus on activities and interests as wide-ranging as bird-watching, photography, scuba diving and gastronomy.

In aid of the new cruises, the luxury line has created six mini-brochures to provide an overview of cruise programmes and sailing dates. Print versions can be requested and digital versions downloaded at silversea.com/brochures.

Among the speciality expedition voyages are:

• Birding and Ornithology Expedition Voyages: Available on Silver Explorer, Silver Galapagos and Silver Discoverer, these cruises give guests the chance to spot birds from the “bald eagles of Alaska to the blue-footed boobies of Galápagos,” according to the line
• Wellness Expedition Voyages: These Silver Discoverer cruises in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific include yoga, Pilates and other fitness programmes, as well as lectures on wellbeing
• Diving Expedition Voyages: Also on board Silver Discoverer, these itineraries are led by dive masters and expeditions teams and take in the likes of Indonesia, Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia
• Culinary Expedition Voyages: These theme-focused expedition cruises on board Silver Explorer offer culinary events on and off ship. One cruise explores the cuisine of Europe – sailing from Portugal along the coast of France – and the second indulges in delicacies from the Atlantic Islands and the West African coast
